Foundationally, we see our vision, mission, and core values are built on pillars of God's Word, Jesus' Example, and the Presence and Power of God's Spirit in the life of every believer.
If God did not reveal Himself (His character, His nature, and His ways), who could know or please Him? We believe that God has and continues to reveal Himself to all humanity. His creation is the echo of His word, providing overwhelming evidence and hints into His wonderful character and nature. We believe the Bible is the record of God's interactions with the world, written by men led by the Holy Spirit. All of God's word is profitable for us to know who God is, who we are, and how we are to relate to God and His world. Because God is truth, everything written in God's word is truth and is reliable. God is faithful to watch over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).
Jesus is the only son of God, existent with God from the beginning of time, eternal in nature. Yet, Jesus enveloped Himself totally in the weakness of humanity becoming a man just as we are. He was tempted in every way and yet did not sin. His heart maintained faithfulness to His Heavenly Father. In His humanity, Jesus came, not only to reveal the Father, but to show us the potential we have to be God's children. His demonstration of total trust and obedience to the Father was not to demoralize mankind, but to envision us to what we were really meant to be. Jesus, therefore is the prime example mankind, whole in every way and walking in the fullness of man's original purpose as God's leaders on the Earth.
As Jesus came to the end of His earthly mission, He promised that humanity would not be left alone as orphans. He promised to send His Spirit to remain in the world until His return. We believe the Holy Spirit is God, just as Jesus was God, though without physical form. The Holy Spirit interacts with the spirits of men to direct them towards God. The Holy Spirit finds a home in the spirit of everyone who confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior. At home there, the Holy Spirit leads the believer towards truth and away from sin, brings understanding of God's words, and even reminds us of the truth.
We believe that the Holy Spirit has distributed gifts to mankind for the various functions of the ministry of God's kingdom on earth. These supernatural gifts are outlined in Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 4:11-11-13; and 1 Peter 4:10-11. We believe that the outworking of any gift of the Holy Spirit should be judged according to the Scriptures. Namely, the Holy Spirit does not draw attention or glory to the person used. The Holy Spirit will not speak untruth and will not contradict the written word of God. The Holy Spirit will not be in contradiction with Himself. When there are several people prophesying by God's Spirit they will be in unity. The Holy Spirit is always beneficial to the believer, building up their faith, and promoting the kingdom of God in their lives and moving them towards wholeness.
